Hi there,
If we haven’t met, my name is Madison Horn.
In 2024, I ran to represent Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District. I think it’s important to share a bit about that experience with you today:
When I first connected with Her Bold Move, I had already reached out to nearly every major women’s organization in the country. I was running for office in Oklahoma — a state ranked as the worst place in the US for women, with the strictest abortion laws and a staggering 50% of women experiencing rape or domestic violence in their lifetime. Despite this dire reality, my candidacy as a woman seeking to become the most credentialed cybersecurity lawmaker in Congress received little to no support.
It was disheartening. These were organizations with bold mission statements about empowering women. Yet, when faced with a challenging race, the response was silence (or, even worse, excuses like, “Your race is too difficult”). Time and again, I was left wondering: If the most well-funded organizations won’t stand by their missions, what is their purpose? If women are to step into leadership, we must step into the arena together, no matter the odds.
That’s why, when I received the news that Her Bold Move was endorsing me, I was nearly brought to tears. It wasn’t just about the endorsement. It was about an organization that believed women in Oklahoma — no matter how uphill the battle — were worth fighting for. It was about an organization willing to live its mission and declare, loudly and clearly: We are in this fight with you. Even knowing the odds, they chose to stand boldly and take action.
Before I share more, will you join me in supporting them by pitching in $20.25 or more today so they can continue to support candidates running for office this year and beyond?

What happened next left me even more in awe. The day after my endorsement, four different resources from Her Bold Move reached out to offer media support, social media strategy, volunteer assistance, and seasoned advisors. I couldn’t believe it. For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t on an island shouting into the void about the harsh realities in Oklahoma. Her Bold Move didn’t just endorse me; they joined my fight, shoulder to shoulder.
Their commitment went beyond words or symbolic gestures. In a state where the status quo means accepting the highest rates of rape and domestic violence in the country, Her Bold Move rejected complacency. They took a stand knowing this might not be a seat to win this time. They chose bold action over safe bets, proving that their mission wasn’t just rhetoric – it was a promise to women across America.
Her Bold Move’s support was a lifeline for me, and it reignited my belief that change is possible when we act with courage and conviction. They’ve shown that, to create a better future, we must take bold steps today. Even in the face of what seem like impossible odds.
To anyone seeking an example of what it means to truly support women, look no further than Her Bold Move. They are more than an organization; they are a movement — and one that I will forever be grateful for.
Please join me in supporting their unbelievably important efforts to uplift pro-choice women running for office nationwide, especially in abortion ban states, by rushing $20.25 or more today →

Thank you,
Madison Horn
Her Bold Move is the fastest-growing support network for women running for office in the United States. Since our founding in 2020, we have supported hundreds of pro-choice, pro-women women candidates across 42 states and counting. As abortion bans and other dangerous laws about women tend to get passed in states with the lowest representation numbers for women in government (4%, 11%, 12%....) we've made it our mission to break the anti-choice male supermajorities in those state legislatures.
