Donald Trump announced last night that he will illegally attempt to freeze billions of dollars in critical federal funding already approved by Congress.

Funding for cancer research.
Funding for special education.
Funding for the veterans suicide prevention.
Funding for domestic violence shelters.
Funding for veterans homeless shelters.
Funding for student school lunches and Meals on Wheels.

Friend, Donald Trump will do anything to secure massive tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations, even if it means hurting millions of working families.

Congress, not Donald Trump, has the authority to set federal spending. Trump is testing his powers and undermining our democracy — and Congressional Republicans don’t seem to care.
