John – my name is David Gottfried, the Minnesota Democrat running to keep the statehouse out of the GOP’s hands in House District 40B.

For most of my life, I lived in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. In my district, we share care and compassion for our neighbors and uplift everyone’s voices. And as a pro bono law specialist, increasing access to justice for all is what we need at a time where division and hate is at an all-time high.

Before I explain the high stakes of the race, will you split a donation of any amount between our campaign and Blue Amp Action?

This past November, the GOP challenged the results of the election, and the Democrat who won decided to bow out of the race. Consequently, a special election was called by Gov. Tim Walz – and I threw my hat into the ring.

Now, the same Minnesota Supreme Court and Republicans have delayed the special election to maintain the GOP’s control of the statehouse. With special elections historically having low turnout, this has only added more confusion and uncertainty to voters in the district.

In short: the GOP is trying to get away with everything they can now that Trump is in charge. But if we win this seat, balance will be restored to the House.

So please: will you invest in this crucial local race by splitting $10, $20, or whatever you can spare between Blue Amp Action and our campaign to win this special election?
