Dear John,
As you have likely heard, the Office of Management and Budget has temporarily paused all Federal assistance funding. There is much uncertainty about what this means, but we are worried about the impact on CMCA services. It could create significant challenges as we work to serve our members. Beyond the immediate uncertainty, Congress has only appropriated funding through March 14. These funds are the foundation of our ability to provide essential services to families and individuals in need.
As we navigate the uncertainty, your support is more important than ever. We are turning to you, our incredible community, to help us bridge the gap in this uncertain climate. Your generosity can ensure that: -
Children in Head Start can continue receiving early childhood education, and their parents receive the tools they need to build a brighter future.
- Families have access to safe, affordable, and stable homes.
- Individuals can work for a better economic outlook for themselves and their families.
In our nearly 60 years of serving mid-Missouri, we’ve weathered political turmoil with bipartisan relationships and support. We are committed to serving all members of the community and to ensuring we use federal dollars efficiently, with accountability and measured impact. We don’t intend to stop now.
Together, we can adapt to this uncertain terrain and make sure our members are not left behind. Every dollar counts, especially at this critical time. We cherish your partnership and thank you for making hope possible in uncertain times.
