This is disgraceful, John.
Donald Trump just FROZE nearly all federal grants for essential programs that MILLIONS of Americans rely on. It could affect everything from:
– The Affordable Care Act
– Medicaid
– Grants for child care
– Funding for homeless shelters
– School breakfast and lunch programs
– Head Start
– Meals on Wheels
– Research on cures for childhood cancer
– And so much more!
It’s shameful. It’s dangerous. It’s cruel. And to be frank, it’s un-American.
As our House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries just said, “We will fight this avalanche of outrage with righteous litigation, with oversight and legislation, and in the arena of public opinion.” Help us fight them on all fronts – “appropriations, litigation and communications.”
