Within hours of taking the oath of office, President Trump took bold steps to get our country back on track. With the stroke of a pen, he reversed many of the Biden Administration’s policies that immensely harmed and failed our great nation.

Examples of President Trump’s actions include:

✅ Restoring merit-based opportunity

✅ Expediting federal permits for energy projects

✅ Requiring federal workers to resume in-person work

✅ Ceasing the weaponization of the federal government

✅ Declaring a national emergency at the southern border

✅ Withdrawing the U.S. from the World Health Organization

✅ Eliminating the Biden Administration’s electric vehicle mandate

✅ Terminating DEI programs and positions in the federal government

✅ Redesignating the Iran-backed Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization

Folks, this is just the first week! We have so much to look forward to as President Trump sets out to finish the work he started. Rest assured, my conservative colleagues and I are focused on codifying these actions to ensure they remain in place long after President Trump leaves office.

As we enter a new Golden Age, President Trump is the leader we need to rebuild, restore, and reignite America. I’m confident that brighter days are ahead, and America will rise up stronger than ever before.

The following day, President Trump reminded the nation of the importance of defending the unborn by pardoning 23 peaceful pro-life activists who were persecuted by the Biden Administration. As you know, Joe Biden and Merrick Garland dangerously weaponized the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act to justify the imprisonment of these pro-life Americans for simply exercising their First Amendment freedoms. Their courage in the face of such injustice is a testament to the strength and resilience of the pro-life movement.

That afternoon, Congress cemented its unwavering support for the sanctity of human life by passing H.R. 21, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. I proudly voted for this critical legislation, which ensures that babies born alive after an attempted abortion receive the same protection of law and degree of care as any newborn.

On Friday, the 52nd annual March for Life event took place in Washington, where tens of thousands of Americans gathered in our nation’s capital to celebrate life. It’s momentous weeks like this that remind us of how far we’ve come – but also of the important work still ahead. Life is the most precious and sacred gift, and it is our duty to protect it for future generations. Rest assured, I will never stop fighting for the unborn.

2025 represents a promising new chapter for our nation, and I couldn’t be more excited to get to work! You may be pleased to know that in addition to returning to the House Appropriations Committee, I’ve been selected to serve on the House Budget Committee this Congress. Our ballooning national debt and out-of-control deficit spending pose two of the greatest threats to the security, prosperity, and future of our country. With President Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress at the helm, we have a critical opportunity to restore fiscal sanity in our nation’s capital. I look forward to working on budget reconciliation and each of the twelve appropriations bills to achieve this goal, firmly focused on delivering on President Trump’s agenda, championing fiscal restraint through spending cuts, and rescuing America.
