*Re:     LCB Renews Contract for Free Security Assessments *

I am writing to encourage cannabis retailers to take advantage of the free security service that the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) has made available since 2022.  The LCB recently renewed its statewide contract with security management firm Setracon, Inc [ [link removed] ]. to provide *voluntary, free of charge, on-site security assessments* of individual cannabis retailers across Washington State.

*Security Assessments Expand Statewide* Following reports of violent break-ins and an LCB-led retail safety forum in March of 2022, the LCB initially contracted with Setracon, Inc. in May of 2022 for retail stores in Pierce, King, and Snohomish Counties. This program was later expanded to serve cannabis retailers statewide. Thus far, approximately 67 retailers have used this service.

*Security Assessments Goal*

For cannabis retail stores, choosing to participate is completely voluntary. The goal is to create a positive process to manage security risks at each individual establishment.

Among the services Setracon, Inc. will provide include:

* Working with retailers to assess potential security risks.
* Review criminal threats facing the retailer.
* Evaluate and document current security practices and suggest solutions for improvement.
* Providing retailers with a report of findings.

*Sign-Up Process *Retailers interested in a security assessment can sign up on the Setracon website [ [link removed] ]. Participants will need to sign a waiver in order to register, as well as provide the following information:

* Name of Store:
* Full Address:
* Hours of Operation:
* Point of contact Name for the visit:
* Point of contact Email address:
* Point of contact Telephone number:

*About Setracon, Inc.* Tacoma-based Setracon, Inc. is committed to providing subject matter expertise, consulting, training, and information management services to align risk, resilience, and security solutions with organizational strategies and goals.
