In just one week, the new administration launched deportation raids, suspended refugee resettlement, and moved to end birthright citizenship. Lawyers are needed now more than ever to help immigrants navigate these legal crises. That’s why We The Action is launching the Immigration Legal Response Center to mobilize volunteer lawyers like you to take action.

We know that these actions are the first of what will likely be an onslaught of attacks on immigrants under the new administration. We The Action’s Immigration Legal Response Center will serve as your hub to harness the power of pro bono to protect immigrant communities and respond to the crises ahead. ([link removed]) As our nonprofit partners identify needs, you’ll get notified first through the Immigration Legal Response Center.

If you don’t have a background in immigration law, you can still get involved. We will connect you with free training so that you are ready to provide pro bono legal support to nonprofit immigration organizations. ([link removed])

JOIN THE FIRST TRAINING ON FEBRUARY 12 ([link removed])

Volunteers are needed to apply for relief from deportation, represent clients held at detention centers in bond proceedings, and assist with Know Your Rights research and presentations. We need all hands on deck to protect immigrants under threat. Will you spread the word to lawyers in your network about the Immigration Legal Response Center?
