I’m going to be blunt. President Trump’s order freezing federal assistance is an illegal act that will have devastating, immediate consequences for Oregon if he does not reverse course.

If the President gets his way, children and seniors will go hungry.

Parents will pay more for child care.

Small businesses won’t be able to meet payroll.

Veterans will lose access to housing and health care.

Rural communities won’t get the relief they need to deal with wildfires.

There is no time to waste. Every minute that goes by with this illegal freeze in place means suffering for hardworking Americans who deserve much better from their government.

I am calling on the Trump administration to immediately reverse course on this illegal theft of taxpayer dollars. This is one of those moments where we need to fight back, and I’m asking you to join me.
