This quarter, the Population Education team is sharing resources for educators on a timely subject: teaching media literacy. Media literacy, or the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, create, and act using all forms of communication, is one of the most critical skills for today’s young people to learn. While this has always been an important subject to teach, the rise of AI and social media algorithms that often promote misleading or false news has made ensuring that the next generation masters this skill ever more critical.
Check out the PopEd blog introducing this theme and previewing some of the resources we plan to offer over the next few months to help teachers explore this topic in their own classrooms. |
