Save The Waves Film Festival is back for 2025 and we’re proud to officially open the submission window to all filmmakers. 

Do you have a surf, ocean, or environmentally-focused short film? We’re now accepting entries for our 2025 shorts program. Open to amateurs and professionals alike. 

Deadline: April 1st, 2025.

Save The Waves Film Festival is an international film tour and community event.

Since its creation in 2008, STWFF has focused on one thing: curating to inspire and educate others to protect our coastlines. Our film festival has featured nonfiction and documentary films on surf and water sports, travel and adventure, conservation and climate. In 2024 the STWFF had 21 stops across 8 countries with proceeds benefiting local and global conservation projects.
