It seems so long ago, and this was the year that a small group of passionate high school students came together with a bold vision: to create a world where animals are respected and protected, not exploited. That modest high school club has grown into something extraordinaryâAnimal Outlook, now celebrating 30 years of groundbreaking advocacy for farmed animals.
For three decades, we've fearlessly exposed the truth about animal agriculture through more than 40 undercover investigations, each one revealing the brutal reality hidden behind closed doors. Our work has made headlines in CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and beyond, bringing these crucial stories to millions of readers worldwide. But we haven't just exposed problemsâwe've created solutions.đ
Through strategic legal action, we've shut down slaughterhouses and held industrial farms accountable for their cruelty. Our innovative campaigns have transformed the food landscape, convincing major brands like Starbucks, Subway, and Dunkin' to embrace vegan options. We've even inspired companies like Morningstar Farms and BOCA Foods to dramatically reduce their use of animal ingredients, proving that compassionate business is good business. We've also developed our Farm Transitions program, helping farmers pivot from animal farming to growing plants.đ±
Together, we've empowered countless individuals to explore vegan eating through our VegWeek campaign, the vibrant DC VegFest, and our compelling Beyond the Lies video tour.
