Trump’s Project 2025 Comes to Oklahoma, Brought to You by State Republicans

With the Inauguration of Felon-in-Chief Donald Trump, elected Republicans are tripping over themselves attempting to bring his extremist Project 2025 to our State. Project 2025 is the by-the-billionaires, for-the-billionaires roadmap to hijack the federal government; by privatizing government services and turning the rest of us against each other. And Trump’s barrage of executive orders are being helped along by local elected Republicans.
The cast of out-of-touch ideologues includes the usual suspects like Superintendent Walters who wants to tie school accreditation to whether or not those same schools report on the immigration status of students [ttps://www.koco.com/article/ryan-walters-students-deported-if-president-donald-trump-orders/63533291] ; despite the fact that the State Constitution and the US Supreme Court require schools to be open to ALL children. So, schools may soon face the choice of offering up their students to Walters or losing accreditation.
Meanwhile, Senator Dusty Deevers (R-Elgin) wrote SB 456 to subject mothers to both murder charges and to wrongful death lawsuits by family members for pursuing reproductive healthcare.

BUT , these are the same dangerous loud mouths you’ve heard about before. What is more alarming are the prominent, supposedly responsible, Republicans putting their own respectable spin on these same dangerous ideas. Senator Julie Daniels (R-Bartlesville), the Majority Floor Leader who decides which bills are heard on the State Senate floor, has written her own ban of legal, FDA approved medications. SB 989 seeks to hold liable anyone that mails such medication to Oklahomans.
And swooping in to legitimize Walters’ bluster is Attorney General Gentner Drummond. Drummond, who just announced his bid to be Oklahoma’s Number One Trump Fan (more on that to come), is celebrating the prospect of enforcing his own mass deportation law that may soon clear federal courts. [[link removed]] And this is only the latest example of Drummond bending the knee to Trumpism for his own political gain. [[link removed]]

Trump’s Project 2025 seeks to turn neighbor against neighbor. They want us to report on each other instead of standing together. But, the for-the-billionaires scheme can be defeated when we are united. That’s why we’re asking you to stand with us and your neighbors in this fight. If we all push back, as neighbors to each other, as advocates before lawmakers, and as voters we can put our government back to working for all of us.
