The border is a VERY dangerous place right now. While some illegals are leaving, some are not- and many of the cartel forces are there, committing crimes against our citizens!
The AZ government estimates that 20% of Arizona, along the border, is a "no-go zone". It's where the cartels control, and their drug and human trafficking and illegal criminal activities are putting our citizens in danger.
When we call the border situation an illegal invasion, this is what we mean. 1/5 of Arizona, a big state, is NOT under the control of the state or Federal government.
It's against this backdrop- where Hobbs' own administration admits they lost control over 1/5 of the state- that Gov. Hobbs decides to resist Trump's border security and deportations of criminal illegals.
She is losing Arizona and refuses to defend us. THAT is why the GOP romped Arizona last November!
It's up to us, the state legislature of Arizona, to fight back against the lawless executive branch here.
We have reduced funding for the AG. We have beaten Katie Hobbs in court. We are doing all we can to hold her accountable.
But she has lost 20% of Arizona to the cartels. This cannot last.
