Iowa’s economy is witnessing incredible growth. This steady growth is good news for our state and for hardworking Iowans. It equates to new jobs, revenue and opportunity at a scale we haven’t often seen. We must capitalize on every opportunity to cultivate new growth in our rural communities. Along with Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, I sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr asking for his commitment to publicly release the results of the FBI and inspector general investigations into the recent death of Jeffrey Epstein while in federal custody. Numerous victims looked forward to seeing Mr. Epstein face justice. I fully support Attorney General Barr's call for a thorough investigation of the circumstances surrounding Mr. Epstein’s death. I’ll continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address the health care challenges facing our rural communities and deliver substantive solutions. Read more in my op-ed here.
