Dear JOHN,

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, a time to reflect on one of the darkest chapters in history. It’s a day to remember the seven million Jews who were ruthlessly murdered and to double down on our fight against antisemitism. 

This year, I had the honor of speaking to Sonja DuBois, one of the hidden children of the Holocaust. She was just two years old when her Jewish parents gave her away to a friend to protect her from Nazi persecution. They were murdered in Auschwitz that same year, and her incredible story is one that I’ll never forget.

Even 80 years later, our Jewish friends continue to face threats both here in America and abroad. The latest war started by Hamas has put this into perspective, shining a bright light on how important it is that we continue to stand firm in our support of Israel and Jewish communities around the world.

Let’s go beyond remembering—let’s use this solemn day as another opportunity to call out antisemitism in all its forms.
