John, are you fed up with our City’s corrupt leadership?
Are you tired of a Mayor whose deputy mayors and commissioners give contracts to cronies and their own family members?
Or politicians like Andrew Cuomo who block ethics reforms, get caught lying to Congress, sue to shut down anti-corruption panels, and spend millions in taxpayer dollars to defend their own reputations?
Are you ready for a little honesty in City Hall?
I know I am. That’s why I just released a huge new plan to stop corruption and restore public integrity to New York City’s government when I’m mayor.
I will finally close lobby loopholes, make the Conflict of Interest Board (COIB) independent, increase press access, and more.
John, if you’re as fed up as I am, please rush a contribution of any amount to my campaign and let’s stop NYC corruption together. [[link removed]]

In order to truly bring honesty to City Hall, we need to tackle corruption from multiple angles. Here’s the nitty-gritty of how we’ll get this done.
* Transparency in City Hall: Our office will proactively release me and my deputy mayors’ public schedules, publicly disclose all meetings with lobbyists, release my tax returns annually without delay, and streamline the FOIL request process.
* Media Accessibility: To restore City Hall’s relationship with the press, I will commit to transparent communication with the media well beyond limited weekly press conferences. I will answer on and off topic questions at press conferences, protect reporters’ right to access him and his team even amidst disagreement. And we’ll move the “shack” – the workspace for news outlets who cover the NYPD – back into the Police Department headquarters.
* COIB Independence: I will ensure that our structures of accountability are truly functional by supporting legislation to make the NYC Conflicts of Interest Board (COIB) independent by removing the mayoral majority on its board and giving it a fixed budget.
* Data Transparency: I will continue to champion data transparency, leveraging public dashboards like those I developed as Comptroller on city management & staffing, DOC, climate, homelessness, and asylum seekers.
* An End to Corruption in Procurement: I will implement recommendations from my office’s report on Preventing Corruption in Procurement, building on the DOI’s report on corruption in human service contracts, to protect the integrity of the City’s 12,000+ new procurement contracts each year.
* Comptroller Review of Defense Lawyers for Administration Officials: I will ensure the NYC Comptroller approves Law Department representation or retention of outside counsel to represent Administration officials.
* Closing of Lobbying Loopholes: I will implement Intro 77-2024 to close loopholes in lobbying restrictions and ensure that no high-ranking City Hall staffer can lobby City agencies for two years following their departure from City service.
New Yorkers want a Mayor they can trust. We deserve an honest government, one that's effective, that's got integrity and accountability.
When I’m Mayor, that’s what we’ll have. And that’s a promise.
Thanks,
Brad
