John, we wanted to take the time to send you a note about someone very special to us: Our son Raja. He works so hard to deliver for his constituents while being the best father and son to his family. That’s why we’re stepping in today and asking you to chip in $14 before his very first End of Month Deadline of the year. We know he hates asking hard-working folks like you for money, but we also know how badly he’s relying on your support. A parent’s job never ends, so today, we’re asking for your help. We know it would mean the world to Raja to see your name on his list of contributions. What do you say, John: Can you help us and chip in $14 before Raja’s very first End of Month Deadline? >>

John, our family doesn’t come from money.

As parents, we taught Raja to work hard for every dollar he earned.

But we also taught him that there’s no shame in asking for help when you need it.

When we first immigrated to the United States, we lived in public housing and used food assistance for a time.

But we always knew Raja had what it took to defy the tough hand he was dealt.

We knew all our sacrifices were worth it when we watched him graduate from Harvard Law School, become a policy director for President Obama, and eventually, win a seat in Congress.

But what we’re most proud of is that Raja has spent his life fighting for people left behind by unfair systems.

John, our son has never taken anything for granted. Raja knows what it’s like to struggle. We know how life-changing it can be when we open doors for each other. Because that’s what others did for us. It’s why Raja is working so hard to make sure others have a shot to defy the odds too. We know this in our hearts: Raja is exactly who we need fighting for us in Congress. If you agree, we’re asking you to chip in $14 before Raja’s very first End of Month Deadline of the year. Can we count on you? >>

Raja represents Illinois in Congress.

The son of Indian immigrants, Raja grew up for a time on food stamps and in public housing. He knows the struggles countless Americans face every day.

Now, Raja is leading the fight in Congress on prescription drugs, climate change, election reform, and a more inclusive economy.

But Republican special interests are funnelling cash to defeat strong Democrats like Raja.

He's counting on grassroots supporters to keep this campaign running strong.

Can we count on you to chip in $10 so Raja can keep up the good fight in Congress?
