Ceasefire or not, our work has only started Dear Email, The scenes unfolding in Gaza today as hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians are returning to their homes in the north of Gaza are magnificent. Seeing the smiles on their faces after 15 months of genocide is heartwarming and a demonstration of the incredible attachment the Palestinian people have to their homeland. The people of Gaza have done their part. This is why we must not rest. It is this exact homeland that continues to be pillaged, burned, and stolen. For more than 13 years, AMP has led a national date boycott campaign to end the sales of date fruits grown on stolen Palestinian using stolen Palestinian water and exploited Palestinian labor.  Since 2012, AMP’s National Israeli Date Boycott Campaign has made a massive dent in the market share of dates imported from Israel. In 2015, 25% of all fresh dates imported to the US came from Israel. Today, that share has dropped to 12.9%. This is a testament to the power and effectiveness of the campaign, which has stores around the county refusing to stock Israeli dates on their shelves. We must continue! Join the campaign by spreading the word. Share the flyer, inform your friends and family, and make the right choice when purchasing dates for this Ramadan. With your help, one small step at a time, we will permanently end the sale of Israeli dates in the U.S. |
