Targets "disastrous California policies"

Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:

At Friday’s live televised roundtable in LA, I spoke with President Trump about our state’s insane fire and water policies. I concluded by quoting a phrase from his Inaugural Address, telling the President that no place needs a "revolution of common sense" like California.

He agreed, saying "there can be no Golden Age without the Golden State." That sums up our historic opportunity. Following last year’s triumphs – Prop. 36; the homelessness victory; huge electoral gains – our movement to Newsom-proof California has become a national imperative.

We have a clear roadmap for continuing this incredible momentum. Using four main tools – federal legislation, rigorous oversight, targeted executive action, and statewide ballot initiatives – we are moving quickly to seize this golden opportunity and restore sanity. For example:

  • California is spending $6.5 billion each year providing free health care to everyone here illegally. I’ve introduced a bill to end this insane policy.

  • Sanctuary State supporters are calling for the prosecution of local officials who cooperate with ICE. I’ve introduced legislation to assure they are immune from prosecution – and to end the Sanctuary State for good.

  • As I discussed on Fox News, California gets plenty of water but manages it in the stupidest way possible. I’m working with the Trump Administration to change this; his new Executive Order includes a section titled "Overriding Disastrous California Policies."

  • I’ve been asked how DOGE applies to our state. My answer is California is the definition of inefficiency. We pay the highest taxes and get the worst government service. First on the CA DOGE list: my bill to end High-Speed Rail.

  • We are working on an initiative to require voter ID in California elections. This proposal has overwhelming public support.

As I directly stated on Newsmax, Newsom has long been the worst governor in America. But at this moment his failures are on shocking display to the world. Now more than ever, fighting for the people of California means fighting against their catastrophic political leadership.
