We know these last few weeks have been tough.

But we are tougher.

We are strong — California strong.

What does California strong look like?

It looks like Governor Gavin Newsom, who has barely left the fire scene since last week. Furiously working to allocate resources and coordinate a relief response — even amidst endless misinformation and partisan attacks:

It looks like Vice President Kamala Harris, who upon returning to California on Monday, immediately jumped in to serve meals at two World Food Kitchen sites in Los Angeles.

And it looks like every single one of you. Many of you have spent last week volunteering in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Others still have spent the last year organizing our communities to elect candidates who fight for the economic everyday Americans — not oligarchs or corporate titans.

There are times when it can be hard to believe that the arc of the moral universe bends toward justice.

But like Kamala Harris has reminded us: “When we fight, we win. But sometimes the fight takes a while.”

The important thing is that we don’t ever give up. And that’s why we are still in this fight. Will you recommit to our mission by becoming a 2025 Founding Donor today?
