Today, we're launching our newest initiative: the Higher Ground Institute (HGI). 

The 2024 election cycle showed us that while progressives succeeded in building powerful campaign tools, we failed in fundamentally evolving how we engage and mobilize communities. That’s why we’re building the Institute as a hub for early innovation, experimentation, and technological adoption that will help propel Democratic groups and the progressive movement forward.

In partnership with the amazing team at Cooperative Impact Lab, we're launching the Institute to build on both organizations' extensive track record in political technology and innovation, from HGL’s world-class startup accelerator to CIL’s AI for Organizing and Campaigns Hackathon series. 

We're thrilled to announce that Jose Cornejo will serve as Executive Director and Oluwakemi Oso as Chief Program Officer, leading HGI's initial focus on three critical areas:

Together, we'll help organizations save thousands of staff hours, accelerate innovation, and forge authentic connections with hard-to-reach communities.
