Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, which commemorates the lives of over 6 million Jewish people who were systematically murdered under genocidal Nazi rule.

As our politics grows more divided, we’re seeing a resurgence of dangerous conspiracy theories and revisionist history that downplays or outright denies the horrors of the Holocaust.

On the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration this month, billionaire Elon Musk gave what appeared to be a Nazi salute to a crowd of cheering Trump supporters. Despite the pain this caused, there was no acknowledgement, no apology, no remorse, and no reflection.
