It’s Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. I’m reaching out so you hear it from me directly – I just sued Trump over his attempt to eliminate birthright citizenship and violate the 14th Amendment. And a judge ruled for us, saying Trump’s order was “blatantly unconstitutional.”

No executive order can supersede the U.S. Constitution and over 150 years of settled law. While Trump may want to take this nation back to a time when not all Americans were considered equal under the law — we will not allow him to do so.

Countless American patriots have fought and died to protect our constitutional rights, and I will do everything in my power to defend the Constitution.

Trump’s order is an attack on families and children in this state and across this country. And it will cause irreparable damage and harm to Arizonans.

I am certain because I am standing up for all Americans, extremists will continue their attacks on me, maybe even try to remove me from office again. But that won’t deter me.
