House Republicans are pushing a plan to slash $5 trillion from vital programs—programs that folks in Western Pennsylvania count on.

They want to gut Medicaid, SNAP, and the Affordable Care Act.

I know folks right here in Western PA rely on Medicaid for healthcare, on SNAP to put food on the table, and on ACA measures to afford life-saving prescriptions.

These cuts aren’t about fiscal responsibility; they’re about slashing the programs every day folks rely on to make room for big tax handouts for the corporations and ultra-rich that are making life miserable for everybody else.

I didn’t come to Congress to sit on the sidelines to see them plunder our future while everyone else gets left behind. I came to fight for you. Will you help me defend Western PA from these cuts by chipping in $5 or more?

Medicaid helps so many of our kids and disabled neighbors get the care they need. SNAP keeps families from going hungry. The Affordable Care Act ensures that people with pre-existing conditions can’t be denied coverage.

But Republicans are too deep in the pockets of huge corporations and doing the bidding of Donald Trump to care that cutting these services will do real harm to people.

Look, I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, and I’ve spent my life standing up for this community—whether in the Navy or now in Congress. I know firsthand the grit, resilience, and strength of the people here.
