John,
It’s been a long week of exhausting news. That’s why today, we are excited to share something hopeful and forward-looking with you: our 2025 State Bridges partners! This year, Sister District is once again supporting incredible frontline organizations in swing states:
- Arizona Center for Empowerment develops and mobilizes undocumented working youth and adults, students, and LGBTQ+ individuals to strategically take ownership and responsibility to advance economic, social, and racial justice.
- Rural Arizona Engagement educates, advocates and coordinates in rural communities to provide civic education, engagement opportunities, and voter registration.
- Citizen Action of WI Education Fund is dedicated to economic, racial, and environmental justice and achieving a Wisconsin and an America where everyone has an equal opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
- WISDOM is a statewide interfaith organization that works among progressive faith communities and with the people most directly impacted by social inequities to empower people to address the root causes of social injustice.
- Mothering Justice empowers mothers in Michigan to influence policy on behalf of themselves and their families.
- We the People MI works to build and strengthen multiracial, working-class community organizing infrastructure across Michigan.
- New Virginia Majority Education Fund builds power in working-class communities of color across the Commonwealth and organizes for racial, economic, and environmental justice.
- PA Stands Up Institute is building a multiracial movement of working-class people dedicated to winning a Pennsylvania that works for everyone.
- Pittsburgh United is a coalition of community, labor, faith, and environmental organizations committed to advancing the vision of a community and economy that works for all people.
This year, we set a goal to raise $150,000 to support our nine partners and equip their organizers with the resources they need in this pivotal moment.
