Thanks to our supporters, we've made tremendous progress in advancing research and providing care and support to the millions of people affected by Alzheimer's. But our work is far from done.
Improving care programs like essentiALZ® Training and Certification. Nearly 3,000 care providers have completed the essentiALZ training course to gain certification to improve dementia care quality.
Investing in research such as the U.S. POINTER study. The Association has invested $60 million to study the link between lifestyle changes and dementia risk with ongoing monitoring of participants for four years.
Advocating for policies that make Alzheimer's a national priority, including the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act, which is focused on building a public health infrastructure nationwide to improve outcomes for affected families.
Alzheimer's is an escalating global public health crisis, and nearly 13.8 million Americans are projected to be living with the disease by 2060. We must do everything we can to further our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
