This week, the website for the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention went dark – and the NRA wasted no time in celebrating this dangerous development.

While the official disbandment of the Office has not yet been announced by the Trump Administration, this is not a good sign, friend.
Shuttering the Office of Gun Violence Prevention would out the interests of the gun lobby over the safety of all Americans. Will you help make it clear to the new administration that the majority of Americans support common sense gun violence prevention measures? The NRA wants us to believe that the Office of Gun Violence Prevention was used by the Biden Administration to “to advance its anti-gun agenda and infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of peaceable Americans,” which is not only false, but dangerous rhetoric.
There’s actually nothing “misleading” about the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, we are already seeing the results of a year of dedicated work in the gun violence prevention space. The cross-agency, public health approach led to a significant drop in the proliferation of unserialized and untraceable ghost guns and the largest-ever decrease in the homicide rate.
Biden’s creation of The Office of Gun Violence Prevention and its success in combating this uniquely American epidemic stands in stark contrast to Trump’s first presidency, when gun violence surged in the United States. Now, it seems that Trump is on yet another NRA-endorsed pathway toward making us all less safe.
Please, help Brady make it clear that the majority of Americans want common sense solutions to our gun violence epidemic. Add your name to our urgent petition NOW. >> [[link removed]]
