Deserai and I decided to run for Congress because we could no longer sit on the sidelines and watch the needs of our community continually be ignored. We wanted to see competent, servant leadership in Washington, and the people of the 6th district agreed.

So in 2018, our race became a battleground district -- and you better believe we are a battleground district again in 2020. We've had a target on our backs ever since we beat back the special interests the first time, finally putting an end to the status quo that wasn't working for American families.
