John, this is B.S… Just hours after taking office, Trump shut down the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

This was really tough to find out. Gun violence prevention activists like Maxwell and I fought for years to make this office a reality (I literally had multiple zoom calls with the White House from my college dorm room as part of the process of advocating to create this office) and because we created it Lives were saved.

And just like that, Trump destroyed years of our advocacy and organizing work to end gun violence in our country.

But I know Maxwell, and I know he will NEVER give up on the fight to save lives and end gun violence. We just need to keep him in Congress so he can make the White House Office of Gun Violence prevention a reality again AND make it permanent so no president can abolish it in the future. Can you rush $27 to his campaign to fuel this fight to save lives and restore the Office of Gun Violence Prevention? >> ([link removed])
John, introducing a bill to create the Office of Gun Violence Prevention was Maxwell’s first act in Congress.

Of course Republicans blocked the bill, but thankfully, President Biden stepped in and established the office himself.

But now, all the progress we’ve made is at risk, and we know this is just the start. Trump is going to choose guns over people nonstop over the next four years, so we really need gun violence prevention champions like Maxwell in Congress to keep our movement strong.

We’re up against Trump and the entire gun lobby. Our fight won’t be easy, but I have no doubt that if you stand with me and Maxwell, we’ll be able to build a safer America. So please, will you give $27 before midnight to stand up to Trump and keep Maxwell fighting for gun violence prevention in Congress? >>
