Falling short of our monthly fundraising goal means cutting back on campaign outreach, hiring less staff, and running a less robust operation. So John, if you’re all in for Carolyn and the movement that we’re building to bring real change to Southwest Washington, we hope that you’ll rush a donation to our campaign today. Your investment in this movement is about more than just helping us close a gap, John: It’s about electing a fearless leader who will help us take on the big issues affecting our community. So we want to take a moment to reflect on why your support is necessary in this fight for progress. + Carolyn will fight to lower prescription drug prices and is committed to stabilizing insurance markets and holding pharmaceutical companies accountable. In Congress, Carolyn will work with providers to ensure that life-saving prescription drugs are affordable for all. + Carolyn will fight for quality and affordable health care for all to ensure a high quality of life for all Southwest Washingtonians. Health care is a right, not a privilege, and Carolyn will work relentlessly to protect affordable care -- even as Republicans continue to try to strike down the ACA in the middle of a health crisis. + Carolyn will ensure that we’re working towards a strong economy by investing in the creation of more family-wage jobs. This means higher wages and protections for workers, paid sick leave, and family leave. This isn’t the first time that our finance team has risked falling short of our monthly goal.
