Over the course of the twenty year war in Afghanistan, countless Afghan allies fought and died by our sides.

Thousands of those allies are now trapped and in imminent danger because Donald Trump has abandoned our commitment to bring them to safety in the United States.

It’s a travesty. A betrayal. A mark of shame on our country.

But if it continues — if Trump and his administration do not step up and honor our commitment — it will put Americans in danger in future conflicts. Who would stand and fight alongside us if they knew we’d abandon them when the going got tough? Why would anyone put themselves in harm's way if they thought we’d leave them high and dry?

VoteVets worked around the clock during the withdrawal from Afghanistan to secure and facilitate evacuations for Afghans we served alongside, as well as their families. We continue that work to this day. And now, we’re asking you to stand with us.

This isn’t an email asking for a donation — we’re asking you to speak out.

Sign this petition and demand that the Trump administration honor our commitment to secure the evacuation of our Afghan allies. And after you do, speak out about this to everyone you know. Spread the word. It’s going to take a lot of noise to get this done, and we can’t do it without you.
