I need to explain something.

You deserve to know just how our work has changed. It’s such a difficult time for many, so we are taking this day by day and doing our best to adapt to this new reality.

In doing so, we canceled all of our in-person events. We moved our entire fundraising operation online. And my team is working around the clock to make sure we’re stretching every dollar as far as we can.

But a recent poll has Donald Trump ahead by seven points in battleground states like Wisconsin. Another poll shows this race is within the margin or error — making it a virtual tie.

On top of that, Mitch McConnell’s super PAC dumped tens of millions into key Senate races to defeat Democrats and defend his Republican incumbents. He’s pulling out all the stops to save his majority.

This moment will require a different kind of response to overcome this influx of GOP cash, which means my team and I will be relying on emails like this a lot more.

In just a few days, we will face our monthly fundraising deadline. Unfortunately, we have seen a significant dip in our fundraising over the last few days, which is completely understandable given current events and the long weekend, but it’s bad news for our campaign.
