America's Best Days are Still Ahead with President Trump

President Donald Trump and Vice President Vance have now been formally inaugurated, and our country now stands at the threshold of a new era — America’s Golden Age has arrived. With President Trump back in the White House, and Republican majorities in the House and the Senate, we will lower costs for American families, shut down the Biden-Harris border crisis, unleash American energy, stand up to our adversaries, strengthen our economy, return to common sense, and restore our nation to greatness.

In fact, we have already sent President Trump his very first bill to sign into law – the Laken Riley Act – to require ICE to detain illegal aliens who commit crimes. Earlier this week, I joined Fox News’ Hannity to discuss how House Republicans are ready to work for the American people and deliver on President Trump’s agenda.

Requiring Medical Care for Born-Alive Abortion Survivors

Babies born alive after an attempted abortion have a right to lifesaving medical care no matter the circumstances of their birth, and we must ensure that they receive the care and treatment they deserve. This week, I voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to protect the fundamental right to life of abortion survivors by requiring health care practitioners that witness a live birth during or after an attempted abortion to administer the same care to preserve the health and life of the baby they would administer to any other child born at the same age. I am committed to defending those children who are defenseless and was honored to have earned an A+ on the Susan B. Anthony pro-life scorecard earlier this month.

I'm pleased to share that this bill passed the House and I call on the Senate to swiftly pass this critical bill so it can be sent to President Trump’s desk to become law and save lives.

Meeting with Port Fourchon

Louisiana plays a critical role in America’s energy independence and dominance, and Port Fourchon in Louisiana is a major hub for our domestic energy and maritime industries. It services nearly 20 percent of America's domestically-produced oil and natural gas and generates billions of dollars annually for Louisiana.

Earlier this week, I met with Chett Chiasson, the Port Fourchon Executive Director, to discuss how I am working to deliver President Trump’s agenda to further American energy development in Southeast Louisiana and reverse dangerous liberal policies that have harmed this vital industry.
