Although Pete Hegseth does not have the qualifications for the job, tonight he was confirmed as Secretary of Defense.

I am deeply disappointed that so many of my Republican colleagues bowed down to Donald Trump and voted to confirm his supremely unqualified nominee, putting Trump’s ego ahead of the wellbeing of our servicemembers and our national security.

While I am extremely dismayed by Hegseth’s confirmation, this is not the time to give up. Our work to hold Pete Hegseth accountable starts right now.
