Dear John,

This week has been nothing short of extraordinary. We have prayed, marched, and fought for a moment like this—when victories for Life, Family, and Freedom would reverberate across the nation and beyond. That moment is here, and thanks to you, the CitizenGO family, that this victory has been made possible.

Your steadfastness in the face of opposition, your faithfulness to this cause even when the world told us to be silent, and your unyielding hope have brought us to this pivotal moment. You have proven that our movement is alive and powerful, and no matter how many times our opponents declared our causes “dead,” you showed them they were wrong.

Together, we have achieved what many said was impossible. The doors have been flung wide open for CitizenGO to be a part of conversations with the most influential conservatives in the nation. Every opportunity we’ve had to sit down with legislators like Mike Johnson and members of the House DOGE Committee is the direct result of your unrelenting faith and action.

We find ourselves in a new dawn for America—a time when victories for Life, Family, and Freedom illuminate the path ahead. But this is no time to rest. The forces of opposition, though wounded, are relentless. They are regrouping, waiting for their chance to strike again. That is why we must rise like the noonday sun, ready to press forward with boldness and resolve.

Let me share with you just a glimpse of what has unfolded this week—a week that can only be described as an answer to prayer.

As I write to you today, my heart is filled with gratitude and hope. Washington, D.C., was alive with energy, faith, and purpose this week. Throughout the week, I had the honor of attending events with CitizenGO’s delegation alongside leaders and advocates from across the nation and around the world.

The day before the inauguration, we met with Congressman Mike Johnson, a powerful voice for the pro-life cause and a champion of religious liberty. Congressman Johnson emphasized the importance of bold, uncompromising leadership in the fight for Life and Family, and we were inspired by his commitment to these essential values.

Later that afternoon, we had the honor of spending a few moments with Donald Trump Jr. during an event leading up to the inauguration. His presence affirmed that the work to defend family, life, and freedom is winning and that we will go much further in the days ahead.

The anticipation was palpable that evening at the Faith & Family Inauguration Dinner. It was a humbling experience to be seated at the table of one of the guest speakers for the evening, Congressman Brian Burch, Trump’s pick as Ambassador to the Vatican. He encouraged us with hope and joy for the days ahead, reminding us of C.S. Lewis’s classic novel when he said, “Aslan is on the move!” The congressman made it clear he was not speaking of Donald J. Trump but of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Lord. These gatherings reinforced the sense of unity within the movement—an incredible reminder that we are part of something much larger than ourselves.

On Monday, January 20th, we had the privilege of being in Washington, D.C., as President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated. Although we did not have seats inside the Inauguration Hall, with only a few hundred gathered inside the US Capitol. We were undaunted, surrounded by the International Organization for the Family and others who share our passion for Life, Family, and Freedom. Together, we could hear and FEEL the celebratory cannons firing and stepped outside to watch the helicopter carrying President Biden leave the Capitol complex. Both were tangible signs of a new day filled with hope and possibility for our nation.

President Trump wasted no time taking action after taking the oath of office. On his first day, he announced that the United States would withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO). CitizenGO has worked tirelessly for years to expose and combat the WHO’s blatant overreach. From promoting abortion as a so-called “healthcare right” to undermining national sovereignty by pushing gender ideology and policies harmful to families, the WHO has consistently overstepped its bounds. This unaccountable bureaucracy has caused immense harm worldwide. CitizenGO supporters have played a key role in challenging its Pandemic Treaty, with over three million signatures gathered from our members. By cutting ties with the WHO, President Trump sent a clear message: the U.S. will no longer support an organization that disregards life, truth, and freedom.

Immediately following this monumental step, President Trump signed an executive order affirming that men are men and women are women—even from conception. In this powerful statement, he reversed the harmful multi-gender ideology imposed by previous administrations and restored truth to our nation’s policies. The executive order stealthily articulated personhood from conception, solidifying that every life is precious and worthy of protection. Showing Trump is a friend of those who defend the truth about gender and the value of life in one of his first executive orders. This decisive action also resolved many pressing challenges related to Title IX, reaffirming fairness and safety in sports and education for girls and women.

The week continued with incredible moments of advocacy and action. On Thursday, we visited the offices of members of the House DOGE (Departments of Government Oversight and Ethics) Committee to deliver petitions signed by CitizenGO supporters, calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. We went directly to the Chairwoman of DOGE, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s office, hand-delivering your petition representing the voices of thousands who refuse to see their tax dollars used to fund abortion providers.

We visited the office of Elise Stefanik, Trump’s pick for the US Ambassador to the United Nations. Although we were unable to meet with her personally due to her current whirlwind, we had a profitable conversation with her staff about her upcoming plans to continue the movement to defend family, life, and freedom globally. We are thrilled to have begun the conversation with the Congresswoman before she takes her new position, and are thrilled that to this point in her political career she has stood firm against the globalist agenda, and we are encourage that she will continue to do so.

Later that afternoon, two historic moments unfolded simultaneously. We were in the House of Representatives gallery, seated with abortion survivors, as the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act was passed. The gallery erupted in cheers and applause, much to the dismay of the house members, who then simultaneously joined us until the gavel at the front of the room brought the gallery to order.

Unknown to us, at that same moment, President Trump was in the Oval Office signing pardons for pro-life Americans who had been unjustly prosecuted under the Biden administration’s weaponized DOJ.

Watching the votes come in for the Born Alive Act was both exhilarating and sobering. While 220 representatives stood in favor of protecting babies who survive botched abortions, 204 Democrats voted against the bill—choosing to deny even the most basic protections to these vulnerable children. Yet the passage of this legislation is a clear and powerful statement: Life is winning, and the voices of the unborn are being heard. Now the battle moves on to the Senate, which just the day before rejected a similar bill. Our fight is far from over not only for the unborn, but now for the BORN!

After the House vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, I had the opportunity to visit the office of Congressman Chip Roy, a true ally of the pro-life cause. In an email I received from him after my visit, he shared his thoughts on the recent pardons for pro-life Americans, calling it “tremendous news” and a step toward restoring justice after years of targeting peaceful advocates under the Biden administration’s weaponized Department of Justice. Congressman Roy also spoke about his plans to reintroduce legislation to repeal the FACE Act, a law that has been weaponized to prosecute pro-life Americans disproportionately. His passion for defending the unborn and ensuring that pro-life citizens are no longer unjustly targeted is inspiring, and we will continue to support his efforts to bring this important legislation to President Trump’s desk.

On Friday, in the bitter cold, we gathered with tens of thousands of pro-life Americans for the March for Life. The victories we celebrated throughout the week gave the march an atmosphere of joy and hope. Despite the freezing temperatures, the streets of Washington were filled with families, church groups, and young people, all united in the belief that every life is sacred.

CitizenGO was on the National Mall early, in the freezing cold, handing out merch and reuniting with pro-life friends and families from around the nation. We shared the recent victories while hearing from incredible speakers, like U.S. Congressman Chris Smith, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Abby Johnson, and a last-minute surprise addition, Vice President J.D. Vance, which was a highlight of the day! They reminded us of how far we’ve come and how critical it is to keep pressing forward. Standing shoulder to shoulder with so many people of faith and conviction, I was overwhelmed with gratitude—for this week's victories, the strength of our movement, and the God who has guided us every step of the way.

Last night, during the March for Life Rose Dinner, we received word of another victory. President Trump signed a series of actions to further protect the unborn and defend pro-life Americans. He reinstated the Mexico City Policy, requiring foreign nongovernmental organizations to certify that they do not use any funding sources to perform, counsel, or provide information on abortions abroad. He also reaffirmed the Hyde Amendment, ensuring that no federal tax dollars will be used to fund abortions.

Additionally, President Trump directed the Department of Justice to end its weaponization of the FACE Act against peaceful pro-life advocates. Under this new directive, the DOJ will only pursue FACE Act cases under "extraordinary circumstances" involving significant aggravating factors, such as death, serious bodily harm, or property damage. Cases below that threshold will be left to state and local authorities. This action signals a major step forward in protecting pro-life Americans from unjust and politically motivated persecution. This action brought immediate results: Eva Edl’s case was resolved today. Under the new directive, she will not face prison time for her peaceful advocacy. This is a victory for justice and a sign of progress for all who stand for Life!

As I reflect on this remarkable week, I am filled with awe and a profound sense of gratitude. What we have witnessed over these past few days is nothing short of extraordinary—something that could only be accomplished through God’s guidance and the relentless faith and determination of the CitizenGO family.

The victories we’ve celebrated in Washington, D.C., this week are far greater than we could have imagined. From delivering your petitions directly to key lawmakers, to witnessing monumental executive actions from President Trump, to seeing Eva Edl’s case resolved under the new DOJ directives—it’s almost too much to take in. These moments are not just victories; they are signs that the tide is turning in the fight for Life, Family, and Freedom.

It is shocking to think about how far we’ve come in such a short time. The doors that have opened, the leaders who have listened, and the victories won are proof that the work CitizenGO has been doing for years is paying off in powerful ways. I am overwhelmed with relief that long-awaited prayers are being answered, and I stand in awe of what God has done through our collective efforts.

Yet, even as we marvel at the progress made, I am reminded of the immense responsibility we carry. These victories are not the end—they are the beginning of a new chapter. The same forces that have worked tirelessly to undermine Life, Family, and Freedom for decades will not simply fade away. We cannot grow complacent. We must remain vigilant, prayerful, and bold.

Let us rejoice in what has been accomplished, but let us also prepare for what lies ahead. This is our moment to shine a light in the darkness and proclaim that every life is precious, that gender is a gift from God, and that freedom is worth defending—no matter the cost.

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” —1 Corinthians 15:57

Gratefully and with renewed hope,
Anna Derbyshire and the USA CitizenGO Team
