Musk’s DOGE project is one example of Trump’s direct betrayals of the poor and working class — putting crucial safety net programs on the chopping block to fund outrageous tax cuts for billionaires and corporations. Trump, Musk, and America’s giant corporations are all coming together to plunder our tax dollars and outright privatize the government.
This means gutting Social Security benefits so seniors don’t have enough money to live on, privatizing Medicare so health insurance CEOs can buy more yachts while people are denied care, and slashing Medicaid so folks in need can’t even see the doctor.
When we took time to survey our movement this week, our supporters expressed that the most concerning part of Trump’s policy agenda is cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and other crucial public services.
