Folks, here’s the latest: Senate Republicans are pushing hard to move quickly on Trump’s Cabinet nominees, as evidenced by the weekend session here in Washington.

They pushed through new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth yesterday and are pressing forward on Kristi Noem, Russell Vought, and RFK Jr.
Senate Democrats are doing everything we can to demand answers from all of Trump’s nominees — and make sure both the voting Senators and the American people know the full truth about who Donald Trump wants to lead critical parts of our government.
For my part, I am committed to demanding answers from the nominees, and I will always vote in the best interest of Virginians and Americans. To be clear — that doesn’t always mean voting against Trump’s nominees. In my 10+ years in the U.S. Senate, I’ve voted to confirm dozens of Cabinet members in Republican administrations. But I will *never* vote to confirm someone that the American people cannot trust.
If you’re with me, I have a simple ask for you today: Will you add your name to my petition to say that our country deserves Cabinet leaders who are trustworthy and honest? [[link removed]]
Thanks for reading and making your voice heard. I’m glad to know you’re with me.
