What the MAGA movement wants is for all of us to give up and say, “America has gone to hell in a handbasket, and we’re done.”
No.
If you are a hard-working, innocent person: I have got your back.
If you are just trying to make it in this world: I’ve got your back.
If you’re not trying to hurt anybody: I got your back.
It’s so important that we affirmatively assert that because, now more than ever, there are a lot of people who don’t know who they are safe with.
But when we speak up, we signal to others that there are people in this world who have not given up.
There are times when we are not in positions of greater power, and sometimes what we are able to do is very limited. But even in times when our hands are tied, one of the most enormously powerful things we can do is keep the light on.
Don’t let these people’s bullsh*t get you down. What is so important for us to understand is that as long as we don’t give up, it’s not over.
We’re going to keep standing with trans people.
We’re going to keep standing with the LGBT community.
We’re going to keep standing for the working class.
We’re going to keep fighting for a better minimum wage.
We’re going to keep fighting to guarantee healthcare.
They’re relying on us giving up. Hell no.
We will not be afraid – because that’s what they want.
We do not have to comply with illegal activity — even if that illegal activity is coming from the President of the United States.
