We’re in the middle of a crisis. This is not the time to be overly cautious about our support for the huge portion of Americans who’ve faced economic hardship as a result of this pandemic.

Rent is due next week. Millions of Americans have been left without work due to this pandemic. But despite that reality, the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress have refused to take further action.

That’s why Tim Ryan and I introduced the Emergency Money for the People Act, which would put $2,000 in the pockets of the folks who need it the most. That’s what our nation needs — a recovery that focuses on working and middle-class Americans, not massive corporations.

But we need your help to get this bill through Congress. Will you sign your name to become a grassroots co-sponsor of the Emergency Money for the People Act?

We’re in the middle of a crisis. This is not the time to be overly cautious about our support for the huge portion of Americans who’ve faced economic hardship as a result of this pandemic.

That’s why we’re proposing a big, bold, progressive solution that leaves no one out in the cold. Our bill would provide $2,000 for every American over the age of 16, every month.

A one-time $1,200 stimulus just isn’t going to cut it for people that need to afford health care, food, and rent. Will you join our progressive mission to pass the Emergency Money for the People Act?

Together, we’ll win this fight for a progressive response to COVID-19. Thanks for your support.

Sincerely,

Ro Khanna
