PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Manifesting a Fantastic Year Ahead

Dear John,

It’s going to be a good year. I can feel it. Can you? We at ARPF are carrying momentum and positive energy from 2024 and diving right into new programs and more…

First, I want to take a minute to congratulate you for being an important part of the Alzheimer’s prevention movement. Without our generous supporters, there's no research, no programs, no progress. This empowering community makes it easy for us to dedicate our lives to this work - we feel inspired by you.

And guess what?

Because of you, John, we met our year-end goal! This is huge. Not only uplifting for the Foundation but also a heartwarming recognition of what the future holds. Your support is helping families struggling with Alzheimer’s, you are their hero.

We are constantly working on new programs and collaborations for the benefit of our community. Of course, we will be bringing back our world-famous Brain Longevity and Meditation Challenges! Stay tuned for all the good to come.

Again, thank you for trusting ARPF to lead the way in Alzheimer’s prevention. Together, we are doing everything possible to eradicate this horrible disease.

Yours in Brain Health,

Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D.

President / Medical Director

DONOR SPOTLIGHT

Le Craven, IMBA

This month, we would like to recognize Le Craven, IMBA. Le was ARPF’s office manager and former Board Member for many years. She has also been a caregiver for family members who suffered from dementia.

Le sends a message of hope, "The scientific rigor and devotion to the premise that prevention is indeed possible has presented us all with simple, practical, and affordable self-care regimens that hold this terrible disease at bay. As one Kirtan Kriya devotee said at an educational event, 'Even if we only accomplish delay for a decade, THAT would preserve quality of life for most of us seniors' Indeed!”

We are so grateful to Le for her years of service and her continued support of ARPF. Read More.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares Kirtan Kriya

We were delighted to see our research study featuring Kirtan Kriya called, "Cognitive and immunological effects of yoga compared to memory training in older women at risk for Alzheimer’s disease" receive attention from wellness industry leaders.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shared the following in his wellness newsletter:

"Another study looked at older individuals who were at risk for cognitive decline. Those who did yoga had less cognitive impairment (compared to those doing memory training) and had lower levels of gray matter and inflammation.

The researchers explained that yoga’s blend of physical movement, controlled breathing, and mindfulness may create a “neuroprotective cocktail.” By lowering stress levels and improving oxygen flow to the brain, yoga appears to boost the brain's plasticity—its ability to adapt, grow, and improve.

If you want to feel less overwhelmed or mentally foggy — and protect your mind — try a few poses a few times per week. You might just stretch your way to a sharper, calmer mind that can better fight off the decline you experience with aging."
