Week by week, we are welcoming new members to our party, a testament to our focus to grow and strengthen our team, to become more diverse, and to better reflect the community which we serve.
Our vision is clear: we are building next generation unionism. A body of people who are passionate about making a difference and to stand strong for our place within the Union. Abraham Lincoln said: “The best way to predict your future is to create it." Our future, safe and secure within the Union, in a prosperous Northern Ireland, is being created now.
This coming Monday evening we will relaunch the Young Democrats. This is an important initiative to engage and empower young people within the DUP. This platform will give them the opportunity to help shape policy, participate in political campaigning, and connect with like-minded individuals. I look forward to attending this event and kicking off this exciting new chapter in the development of our Party.
Our focus is on rebuilding and preparing for the challenges ahead, including the Assembly and local government elections in 2027. To win, we must renew as a broad, attractive movement, uniting unionists who are committed to making Northern Ireland work and securing a brighter future. Within this body of people, we will have our differences on some issues – such is the essence of democracy - but our core principles will be ones we share and that define who we are, and our key objectives.
In 2027, my goal is to present a strong, energetic, and capable team of candidates who are deeply engaged in their communities, passionate about serving the needs of their constituents, and unwavering in their commitment to Northern Ireland’s place within the Union.
Together, we can ensure that the DUP continues to lead as a party of progress, delivery, and unity for all who share our vision for Northern Ireland. Thank you for your continued support, and if you want to play a more active role in the Party, please get in touch.
Yours sincerely,
