South Link Connections: Attend our information sessions to learn about proposed route improvements in south King County
As Link light rail extends south, King County Metro’s South Link Connections mobility project is working to improve public transit for communities in south King County.
We held the first virtual information session on Jan. 7. You can watch the recorded session on YouTube. The session is also available in Amharic, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
We invite you to attend one of our next virtual information sessions to learn more about the South Link Connections project’s proposed changes and to ask questions:
Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. Register here.
Monday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m. Register here.
The virtual information sessions are an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes to Metro service that will occur with the arrival of Sound Transit’s Federal Way Link Extension, scheduled to begin service as early as 2026. Metro is seeking feedback from riders, residents and workers in South King County through Feb. 28.
We’ll use your feedback on these potential changes to refine the proposals, which will be shared for community review in summer 2025.
Questions? Contact the South Link Connections team at [email protected].

Every month, operators from King County Metro’s seven transit bases select their fellow drivers for their positive contributions to Metro and recognize them as Operators of the Month. The operators selected demonstrate safe driving skills, show courteous and helpful attitudes toward customers, and pay conscientious attention to attendance, appearance, and discipline.
