The 119th Congress is in session, and I am excited to get to work fighting for YOU. We witnessed the swearing-in of President Donald J. Trump, the release of January 6 hostages, delivered the Laken Riley Act to the President's desk, and submitted a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the rightful Gulf of America. In this first week of the Trump Administration, my office and I have been busy delivering the American people's mandate to put America First. Keep reading to see what's been happening on Capitol Hill!

This past Monday, President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance took their Oaths of Office.
I'm filled with optimism as the first week of the Trump Administration comes to a close. President Trump has done more in his first few days in office than Joe Biden did in his entire term.
This exchange of power truly means, as President Trump said in his Inaugural Address, that "America's decline is over."

I was honored to join Speaker Mike Johnson as he signed the first bill the 119th Congress will deliver to President Trump’s desk, the Laken Riley Act.
I was proud to cosponsor this bill, along with the rest of the Georgia delegation, to prevent the horrific and brutal murder of additional innocent Americans at the hands of illegal alien thugs.
Although this will not bring Laken back, we will never forget her and everyone touched by her life.

In his first few hours in office, President Trump signed many executive orders, one of which was the pardon of the January 6 patriots.
As one of the few advocates for their release over the last four years, I'm relieved that these individuals finally get their lives back. Most of them have been released from their cells, but we are eagerly waiting for the last few to be set free.
Thank you President Trump for your mercy towards these innocent Americans!

The Republican members of my newly formed DOGE subcommittee have been announced, and we are eager to get to work. My colleagues and I have already met to discuss our plans to relieve the American people of government waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.
As Chairwoman of this subcommittee, I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead the effort to make our government more efficient and work for YOU.

I had my staff immediately draft legislation to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the rightful Gulf of America.
Your hard-earned American tax dollars are paying to protect and secure those waters.
Since our country is responsible for protecting the Gulf and footing the bill, this Gulf is rightfully ours.
The bill has been filed. Now, it must be passed and sent for President Trump's signature.

Read about some of our constituents' successes below:
"SSI worker had intentionally missed my check-up for over three months and hopefully this will end me having problems with my Social Security check not coming to me. Thanks to Tracey and the rest of your staff, thank you Ladies very much." -Charles J.
"Andrea was a joy to work with in the details of how to open a long-needed conversation with IRS on the closure of a 2020 estate. As of now, we believe we have been able to resolve the issues that have stalled the process for over 2 years, awaiting communication with an agent who could assist us. So appreciate the door opened to this situation that seemed impossible!" -Nora H.
"I am so thankful for your help! Your office has been amazing, especially Andrea, I could not be more thankful for her level of care that she provided my wife and I. She went above and beyond our expectations. She was very responsive to emails which truly lowered my stress with USCIS. This experience has solidified my trust with this office. Thank you all for the help, it is truly appreciated!" -Joshua B.
