Hey Friend, it’s Brian Kemp.
What a week it’s been!
We officially kicked off Georgia’s 2025 Legislative Session, I shared my vision for our future during the State of the State Address, and we welcomed the Trump administration into office.
With Republicans leading the charge and our priorities set for the year, we’re ready to hit the ground running.
There’s a lot of exciting work ahead, and I’m committed to keeping you informed every step of the way through my new weekly series: The Weekly Minute.

This week, I want to focus on a priority that impacts hardworking families not just in Georgia, but across the country: keeping more money in your pockets.
Here’s what you need to know:
In Georgia, we believe families and small businesses can manage their hard-earned money better than the government ever could. By sticking to smart budgeting and conservative policies, we’ve proven you don’t have to raise taxes to fund essential services.
Since I was elected Governor in 2018, we’ve saved taxpayers $6.6 BILLION through tax rebates and the largest state income tax cut in Georgia’s history.
But we’re not stopping there.
This year, I’ve proposed lowering Georgia’s state income tax rate by 20 basis points — a move that will save families an additional $7.5 BILLION over the next decade.
These kinds of bold, conservative reforms serve as a model for states across the nation, proving that fiscal responsibility and tax cuts go hand-in-hand with economic growth and opportunity.

Cutting taxes and keeping more money in the pockets of hardworking Americans has and will remain one of my top priorities.

But now it’s important I hear your thoughts — do you support this plan and would you like to see more tax cuts in your state?
Thanks for reading this week’s update. Together, we’ll set an example for what conservative leadership can accomplish across the country.
Sincerely,
Brian Kemp
Governor of Georgia
A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN KEMP

More than 35 years ago, I started my first business with nothing but a pickup truck and a shovel.
Since taking office as Governor of Georgia in 2019, I’ve put hardworking Georgians and their families first!
We’ve championed legislation to cut taxes for working families, crack down on crime, end human trafficking, reform foster care and adoption, and support our students and educators.
When Georgia became the first state to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made sure we protected both lives and livelihoods. As a result, we’ve seen historic economic investment, and we’ve continued to lead the way in creating opportunities at every corner of the state.
And we’re not stopping there!
Marty, the girls, and I are working hard to ensure Georgia’s best days are ahead of us.
But, we can’t do it alone. Our accomplishments are only possible with a team of strong grassroots supporters like YOU by my side.

So, today I’m asking for your support in my continued fight to improve the way of life for hardworking families. Will you join me?
Thank you,
Brian Kemp
