Hello from the State Capitol,
It’s been another busy week here at the capitol. This week we introduced house files 1-10 which focus on stopping the fraud and making Minnesota affordable again.
Some of the top bills introduced aim to enhance accountability, prevent fraud, and deliver financial benefits to Minnesotans. House File 1 establishes a centralized Office of the Inspector General to combat fraud, while House File 2 strengthens prevention through stricter reporting and mandatory site visits. House File 3 introduces “fraud notes” to evaluate legislation for vulnerabilities, and House File 4 ensures future budget surpluses are returned to taxpayers. Finally, House File 9 reduces energy costs by lifting the nuclear power ban and expanding heating tax exemptions. Together, these measures promote fiscal responsibility and support Minnesota families.
Also, this week was the Minnesotans Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) rally which was held at the capitol January 22nd. It was inspiring to see so many people here at the capitol fighting for life.
Even though the Democrats still aren’t showing up to work. Myself and all the other House Republicans are showing up everyday doing the job our constituents elected us to do. I will continue to show up and work to make changes Minnesotans want.
Staying in Touch
