DEVELOPING…Donald Trump has signed several anti-environmental executive orders in his first days in office. These include orders to:
|
|
|
- Expand oil and gas drilling, including in America’s Arctic.
- Remove protections against drilling on America’s coasts.
- Make national parks and forests available for drilling, logging, and mining.
- Roll back support for electric vehicles and wind energy.

During Trump’s first term, LCV’s organizing and advocacy campaigns helped stop some of his administration’s worst attacks on the environment, including executive orders like these. LCV used every tool at our disposal, including going to court, to respond. We also minimized the damage in Congress, while driving clean energy progress at the state and local levels.

We can and will fight back again. Anti-environment forces may have control of the White House and a narrow majority in Congress — but Trump’s proposals to harm our air, land, water, communities, and climate while enriching polluters are deeply unpopular. With the right pressure and the right strategies, we can defend against these attacks and win, but we need your help.

LCV’s 2025 Membership Drive, our biggest fundraiser of the year, is happening now. This will determine how much we can do to fight Trump’s assault on the environment for the rest of the year. Because this is so important, a group of donors has agreed to TRIPLE MATCH all gifts, which means your support can go 3X as far.
