Friend – Republicans spent their first week in power under the new Trump administration attacking women and reproductive rights. Here are the cliff notes:

1. The Department of Health and Human Services – the department Trump wants RFK Jr. to run – has scrubbed abortion search results from their website.

2. A Trump-appointed federal judge just revived a legal effort to restrict access to medication abortion.

3. When I questioned Trump’s pick for budget director – a lead author of Project 2025 who has advocated for total abortion bans with ZERO exceptions – about his extreme anti-abortion views, he refused to answer.

4. Republicans introduced – and Democrats BLOCKED – an extreme anti-abortion bill that would’ve created new, medically unnecessary barriers for doctors and patients to get health care.

So my Democratic Senate colleagues and I are continuing to work around the clock to put a check on Trump, hold Republicans accountable, and protect abortion rights.

But with far-right anti-abortion activists hosting a massive rally on the National Mall TODAY and just hours left until my rapid-response deadline, I need everyone on this team to do their part.
