Hi John, it’s Ben. We knew the lies would start flowing freely once Donald Trump returned to power. And his administration wasted no time. Less than a week into Trump 2.0, his top oligarch surrogate and cryptocoin grifter Elon Musk has weighed in on the Wisconsin Supreme Court election on April 1. And it’s a doozy:  With absolutely no proof, Musk told his 214M followers the dangerous lie that Wisconsin elections are fraudulent if progressives win. Never mind all the evidence that Wisconsin elections are safe and secure. This is Trump’s bold strategy: deny the legitimacy of any election he loses. And since the MAGA extremists lost the Wisconsin Supreme Court election in 2023, they will do whatever it takes to sow seeds of doubt in Wisconsin voters for the crucial state Supreme Court race on April 1. This is what we are up against—deep-pocketed billionaires with social media empires spreading misinformation. That’s why WisDems need your help.
The GOP will be throwing everything they’ve got at our April election to help extremist politician Brad Schimel win the vacant seat on our state Supreme Court. If he wins, Schimel would be the tie-breaking vote in future Court decisions, and a rubber stamp for the whims of Trump. WisDems will be out on the front lines fighting to elect Judge Susan Crawford, the fair, impartial, and common sense choice for Wisconsin. But to spread the message across the state that Judge Crawford is looking out for Wisconsinites, WisDems need resources. WisDems has a proven track record of helping win races up and down the ballot in even the most hostile election cycles. In the face of the national red shift that led to a second Trump term, you helped us reelect Senator Baldwin and flip 14 State Legislative seats blue. But to win on April 1, we need every Democrat to chip in.
Judge Crawford winning on April 1 will send a message to Trump, Musk, and their MAGA minions that Wisconsinites are still in this fight, and will not be cowed by their lies. Let’s roll up our sleeves and do this. Thank you, John. Ben Wikler |
