As you know, the key goal of my governorship is making this Maryland’s decade. But you may be wondering, how?

One of the key parts of my agenda for this legislative session is tackling economic growth.

Earlier this month, we announced our Economic Growth Agenda . This proposal is about more than just money, but rather strategy.

* First, we need to cut red tape to make it easier to start a business and grow our economy.
* Second, we need to focus on life sciences, I.T., and aerospace and defense — areas where Maryland can win.
* Third, we need to improve coordination and partnership.

This strategy prioritizes investments in the areas of our state that drive the most growth. This strategy will help create good-paying jobs, and make it easier for businesses to choose Maryland, grow, and stay in Maryland.

This is the blueprint for the next year, and I’m looking forward to seeing how we can continue making this Maryland’s decade.
